Cyclist-Oriented Road Safety Audits
Issues related to bicyclists should be taken into consideration in a typical road safety audit, but this is not always the case. A modified audit procedure for conducting cyclist-oriented road safety audits will be presented, along with guidelines for conducting cyclist-oriented safety audits. It will also provide examples of how such audits have improved safety, mobility, and comfort for all road users, not just cyclists. (59)

Bicycle Facility Design Guidance: Canadian Examples
The TechnicalHandbookofBikeway Design, first published in 2003, is one of the most valuable tools available to municipalities seeking to design facilities that meet the needs of cyclists and make the most cost-effective public investments. Velo Quebec has developed training to make this expertise available to professionals. The presentation will explain how quick improvements to existing standards were facilitated to include many innovations, and how the partnership between the MTQ and Velo Quebec can only lead to a constant improvement in Quebec cycling infrastructures.
