Changing our Future through Education Today: A Grade 3 Curriculum Program on Making Wise Travel Choices
This presentation discusses a project to develop and disseminate a grade 3 unit that supports the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum requirements. Students discover what air is, and what is emitted into the air when we make certain transportation choices. By conducting a family travel audit of trips made over a 7-day period, the students take the lesson home to their parents and assess how they travel now and where there are opportunities for change.
