Meet A Presenter: Theron Jeppson

Theron Jeppson will present a poster on Making Streets Safer through Law Enforcement: Conducting a Bicycle Safety Enforcement Action. He is also on the 'Share the Road' Campaigns Across the Country' panel. This will be Theron's first Pro Walk/Pro Bike conference.

Theron has worked in the bicycle and pedestrian safety field for two years.

He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Master’s in Health Promotion (2004) and from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Community Health (2002). Theron works at the Utah Department of Health as the Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety Coordinator.

"Currently I am working on a training video for law enforcement that will instruct officers in how to set-up and conduct a pedestrian safety/crosswalk enforcement action," Theron reports. "Along with this video, enforcement agencies will be provided with overtime funds to conduct the pedestrian safety/crosswalk enforcement action."

Theron is an avid mountain biker, road bicyclist, and bicycle commuter. "Utah is a wonderful place to do all three," he says. I love to get up in the mountains and ride. There is nothing better than riding through a forest of aspen trees on a single-track trail." When he's not on the bike, Theron spends time with his family. Pictured with Theron are his wife Autumn, son Hunter, and dog Leah.
