At the Pro Walk/Pro Bike 2006 Closing Plenary, NCBW Executive Director Bill Wilkinson announced that Pro Walk/Pro Bike 2008 will be held in Seattle, Washington. Date: September 2-5, 2008 Place: Seattle's Westin Hotel.

The 2008 conference will mark a first for the 30-year-old conference series: a return to a Pro Walk/Pro Bike host city. It's been 20 years since Seattle hosted the conference in 1986. The 2008 conference will highlight the changes that have taken place in the bicycling and pedestrian communities, and link those changes to seeds sown in 1986.
