Developing a Pedestrian Safety Action Plan

Maximum Number of Participants: Please note that this workshop is limited to 35 participants.

This 1-day workshop will describe how state and local agencies can develop a plan to improve pedestrian safety, including the proper use of engineering, education, and enforcement measures. It will include such topics as involving stakeholders, collecting and analyzing data to identify pedestrian safety problems, selecting safety solutions, and obtaining funding to implement improvements. The participants should come away from the workshop with a framework to develop their own agency's unique Pedestrian Safety Action Plan (PSAP), including enhancements to their agency policies and practices.
