The curtain has fallen on another successful Pro Walk/Pro Bike® and, no doubt, many of us have returned to our work refreshed and inspired. For those who were not able to join us in Chattanooga, Bringing Livable Communities and Regions to Scale was the theme of this year's conference. Over 600 people came together for four days to exchange ideas and chart the course for the bike/walk world for the near future. Thirty years in, and sixteen conferences in the book, Pro Walk/Pro Bike® continues NCBW's mission of providing the premier forum for local, national, and international experts to gather, and communicate across disciplines: public health encounters planning; advocates meet law enforcement; and young professionals and students mingle with stalwarts who remember when our conference was simply known as Pro Bike. Spend some time reviewing our conference program and presentations.

The Pro Walk/Pro Bike® conference is made possible thanks to the enthusiastic participation and support of our sponsors, the Local Host Committee, and the conference participants including presenters, delegates, exhibitors, and volunteers.

Here are some of vital statistics from Pro Walk/Pro Bike® 2010:

Participants: 650

APBP Members: 130

Delegates: 160

Presenters: 164+

Panel presentations: 72

Poster sessions: 100

Participants who would recommend PWPB® to others: 94%

Best of all, the number of cities who have already indicated they want to host Pro Walk/Pro Bike® 2012: a lot! We would say more, but we are sworn to secrecy. If you are interesting in hosting Pro Walk/Pro Bike® here is how to get the process started.
