Many organizations have found it convenient and timely to host special interest meetings (annual meetings, committee meetings, and the like) during Pro Walk/Pro Bike® conferences. The National Center for Bicycling & Walking (NCBW) has secured a number of extra meeting rooms for organizations that desire to conduct special interest meetings in conjunction with the 2010 conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, September 13 - 17, 2010.

A good selection of meeting rooms is available all day Monday, September 13 and Friday, September 17. Some rooms are also available from 2 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, following the close of the conference.

The NCBW will cover the cost of meeting room space used for special interest meetings. However, your organization is responsible for all costs associated with food and beverage functions, audiovisual equipment, and any other equipment such as easels and markers, draped side tables, etcetera, if you require them for your meeting.

Please note that no food and/or beverages may be provided by an outside source when using meeting spaces at either the conference hotel or convention center. Both the conference hotel and the convention center require that all food and beverage consumed on their property be provided by their respective banquet services.

AFTER you provide us with information regarding your meeting on the Online Special Meetings form, the NCBW will confirm your meeting room reservation by email. We will also assist you in making arrangements for any extra services you may need from the conference hotel or convention center.

If you are planning to host multiple meetings, please fill out a separate online form for each meeting you will be hosting. If you require assistance in completing the information on the form, please contact Bruce Burgess, our logistics coordinator, at bruce@bikewalk.org as soon as possible. Due to the popularity of the Pro Walk/Pro Bike® special interest meeting program an early reservation is strongly encouraged.
